Resume Studio

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5/24/2026

Overview

Resume Studio (“we”, “us”) is a personal tool operated by Phil Ross. This policy describes what data we collect, why, and how you can control or remove it.

What we collect

  • Account information: your email address and (if you signed up with Google) the basic profile fields Google shares: name and profile photo URL.
  • Resumes you upload: the DOCX or PDF files you upload and the structured profile data extracted from them.
  • Job descriptions you paste in, along with the analysis and generated documents produced from them.
  • Technical logs: basic request logs (IP, time, path) retained briefly for security and debugging.

How we use your data

  • To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
  • To send your resume text to Anthropic’s Claude API for structured extraction, ATS analysis, and document generation. Anthropic processes the text under their own privacy policy and does not use API data to train models by default.
  • To send you transactional emails (password resets, delivered documents) via Resend.
  • To improve the tool. We do not sell your data.

Where your data lives

Application data is stored in Supabase (managed Postgres + file storage). Each user’s data is isolated at the database level using row-level security policies. Other users cannot read your data.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing the operator. Deletion removes your profile data, uploaded files, and generation history within 30 days.
